The team began by removing all standing water from the basement with high-capacity pumps, followed by setting up dehumidifiers and industrial fans to thoroughly dry the affected areas. Care was taken to ensure that no hidden moisture remained in corners or behind walls, as these areas are prone to mold growth if not dried properly. To address the source of the problem, PDQ referred Clark to a trusted plumber from their network who handled the ceiling pipe repair, ensuring the leak was fully resolved. Throughout the four-day process, the PDQ team monitored moisture levels and made sure the basement was completely dry. Most of the costs were handled by Clark’s insurance, leaving him responsible only for his deductible. Thanks to PDQ’s quick and comprehensive response, Clark’s basement was restored to its original, safe condition with all water issues resolved.

PDQ's Certified Dry Standards mean that we keep our equipment on site at the home in Hopatcong, New Jersey until we have reached the property's dry standards. We tore up and removed water damaged flooring, removed sheetrock that would be in danger of developing dangerous mold and moved items out of the way that might have been damaged by the flooding. When our Team arrived to the home in Hopatcong, New Jersey, they assessed the damages along with the Homeowners. They discussed in details the plan of remediation. The Homeowner's were pleased to learn we could work and bill their insurance company, Encompass, directly. Our IICRC-certified technicians started immediately by setting up high-velocity air movers, commercial dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls to begin drying their home. We removed, bagged and disposed of the affected materials. We visited their home each day to look after the drying process. The Homeowners were happy that it only took 4 days for their house to dry-out.
