The team then proceeded to remove all charred and fire-damaged materials, focusing on cleaning soot from walls, ceilings, and other affected surfaces throughout the house. When PDQ Restoration first arrived at the house in West Caldwell, NJ the first thing to do was drop stabilizing equipment including fans, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air filters. Afterwards the PDQ contents division cleaned and stored any affected contents so that demolition of the water damaged building materials could begin. After all demolition was completed then a drying chamber was set up in the affected area. After all humid air was removed using the dehumidifiers and PDQ came to check daily until everything was dry the equipment was finally removed.

After all water was extracted all the content team came to remove all belongings from the basement, sanitize them, and organize them for storage. Afterwards PDQ make sure to place fans, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air filters to bring the humidity down to being the drying process. Finally PDQ came to check daily that the basement was drying and then removed the equipment once the dry standard was confirmed to have been met.

When our Team at the home in Rockaway, NJ arrived they started by assessing the loss and then going over the paperwork with the Homeowner. The fish tank and carpet were removed. The Team installed injector dry mats (three) in the family room. They set up a dehumidifier and air scrubber. In the basement, all the ceiling joists, sub floor and the floor were wiped, sterilized and scrubbed with an antimicrobial solution. One dehumidifier, one air scrubber and three air movers were placed to begin dry out of the basement. The Team monitored all affected areas until everything had reached dry standards. The Home Owner was pleased that we were able to work directly with their insurance company.

The customer was so happy that we billed their insurance company, Traveler's directly. She was only out her deductible.
