The unnoticed leak allowed water to seep down the wall, eventually soaking into the wood flooring and causing noticeable warping and discoloration. Upon arrival, PDQ Restoration thoroughly inspected the affected area to locate the source of the leak and assess the damage. The team carefully opened the wall to repair the broken pipe, stopping any further water from seeping through. Next, they set up industrial fans and dehumidifiers to dry both the wall cavity and the soaked wood floor.

To ensure the flooring and structure were completely moisture-free, regular moisture checks were conducted. Sections of the damaged wood floor were removed and replaced to restore the room’s original look. The project took about four days to complete, and Zaid’s insurance covered most of the expenses, leaving him responsible only for the deductible. Thanks to PDQ’s thorough and efficient response, Zaid’s bedroom was fully restored, free from water damage and safe from future issues.
