Job completed for Harley S. - Randolph, NJ - Water Damage

Completion date: September 28, 2024

Location: Randolph, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

Harley contacted PDQ Restoration when she noticed mold growth beneath the wooden floorboards in her Randolph, NJ kitchen. Upon inspection, it was determined that a small, persistent leak from her dishwasher had been the cause. Over time, the slow leak had allowed water to seep into the subfloor, creating the perfect environment for mold to develop undetected.

Solutions provided:

The PDQ Restoration team quickly got to work by removing the damaged wooden floorboards to assess the full extent of the moisture and mold issue. Specialized equipment was used to dry out the affected areas, and mold remediation was performed to ensure the problem would not return. Air scrubbers were also placed to improve indoor air quality and eliminate any lingering mold spores. After thoroughly drying the subfloor, the team reinstalled new flooring.

This project was completed in 4 days and handled through Harley’s insurance company, Liberty Mutual. Harley was only responsible for her deductible, while the rest of the expenses were covered by her insurance claim. By the end of the job, her kitchen was fully restored and mold-free.
