Jim contacted PDQ Restoration after discovering water damage in his basement washroom caused by a broken pipe. The pipe, located above the washroom in his Wanaque, NJ home, had been leaking for some time, which resulted in the ceiling becoming saturated with water. Over time, this led to mold growth on the ceiling and nearby walls.

PDQ Restoration arrived quickly to assess the situation. The first step was to extract any standing water and remove damaged materials, including sections of the ceiling and sheetrock affected by the water and mold. Dehumidifiers and air scrubbers were put in place to ensure moisture levels were brought under control, while mold remediation specialists treated and cleaned all affected areas to prevent further mold spread.

The job was completed over the course of 6 days, during which PDQ worked with Jim’s insurance provider, State Farm. Jim only had to cover his deductible, with the rest of the expenses being handled through insurance. By the end of the project, the basement washroom was fully dried, the mold was treated, and all damaged materials were replaced, restoring the area to its pre-loss state.
