George called PDQ Restoration after experiencing a major basement fire at his home in Rockaway, NJ. The fire spread quickly from the basement, causing extensive damage throughout the house, particularly on the first floor. In addition to the fire damage, the efforts of the fire department to extinguish the flames resulted in significant water damage to the first floor and basement.

Upon arrival, PDQ Restoration's team immediately assessed the damage, focusing on stabilizing the structure and ensuring safety. The basement and first floor were severely impacted, with both fire and water causing destruction. Smoke and soot had spread throughout the home, requiring deep cleaning and deodorization. PDQ set up industrial-strength fans, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers to remove moisture and smoke particles from the air. Damaged materials, including flooring, sheetrock, and insulation, were removed as part of the cleanup process.

This restoration process spanned over 7 days, during which PDQ worked closely with George’s insurance provider, Allstate. Through this collaboration, George was only responsible for paying his deductible. The property was fully restored, with all fire and water damage addressed, bringing the home back to pre-loss condition.
