The source of the issue was a broken pipe in the ceiling above the main hallway on the first floor, which caused water to leak through the entire hallway ceiling, affecting both the structure and appearance of the space.

Upon arrival, PDQ Restoration assessed the damage, identifying the sections of the ceiling that had been compromised by the leaking water. Immediate action was taken to contain the situation by extracting any standing water and opening the affected ceiling areas. Industrial fans and dehumidifiers were placed to thoroughly dry out the space and prevent any further water damage or the potential for mold growth. Sections of the ceiling that could not be saved were removed and replaced.

The entire restoration process took 5 days to complete, and PDQ worked with John’s insurance company, Allstate, to ensure the claim was processed smoothly. John only had to cover his deductible, and PDQ handled the rest, leaving the home fully restored and the hallway ceiling looking brand new.
