Job completed for Brian G. - Stanhope, NJ
Completion date: August 1, 2024
Location: Stanhope, NJ
Why did the customer contact us?
Brian called PDQ Restoration to come to his home in Stanhope, NJ after he had a fire in his basement. Brian had his contractor removed the affected structure. However, when Brian thought the odor and remaining soot would go away on its own it continued to linger. When Brian called PDQ, our technician explained that the odor will remain unless the property is properly deodorized by a restoration company as well as professionally cleaned of all soot.
Solutions provided:
When PDQ first arrived at the house in Stanhope, NJ the first step was to stabilize the property by dropping the equipment. First a hydroxyl was placed on each floor to deodorize the soot particles. Then fans with HEPA air filters and dehumidifers were placed to facilitate the filtering process to remove the soot from the air. Afterwards PDQ came to check daily on the equipment until the soot odor was removed.
