Completion date: July 3, 2024

Location: Montville, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

Chris from Montville, NJ called PDQ Restoration about a fire that started in his basement from some of his belongings. What resulted was smoke and soot being spread heavily throughout his basement resulting in soot webs. When he checked the rest of his house there was a smoke odor spread throughout. He was also able to find soot residue on his counters and in order parts of the house.

Solutions provided:

When PDQ arrived at Chris's house in Montville the first thing done was stabilization. This involved leaving hydroxyl machines, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air scrubbers. These machines help remove the smoke odor molecules from the air and also improve the air quality from the soot. After this the contents division came and began cleaning his belongings in place and packaging them for storage. All linens and clothes were also sent to the laundromat as well to remove the soot odor.
