Completion date: July 24, 2024

Location: Sparta, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

Hannah from Sparta, NJ called after a large storm resulted in what she believed to be a failed sump pump. This had resulted in the finished and unfinished portion of her basement receiving 4 inches of water. She described it as resulting in a very humid room and with a large amount of wet contents. She asked if PDQ could send out a truck as soon as possible to dry out her basement.

Solutions provided:

After PDQ arrived at the house in Sparta, NJ the stabilization team started by extracting all standing water in the basement. Afterwards dehumidifiers and fans were placed to begin the drying process. As soon as the drying process was started all affected walls and carpet that could not be kept were removed and the basement was stabilized. PDQ then came back once a day for moisture monitoring until the basement was returned to the dry standard measured from the other rooms in the house.
