Completion date: July 17, 2024

Location: Morris Plains, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

John called PDQ Restoration to check out his flooded basement in his house in Morris Plains, NJ. When he called he explained that his sump pump had failed which resulted in the finished portion of his basement being damaged. He described the carpet as wet to the touch, the walls felt damp, and the entire basement felt like it had high humidity. He asked if it would be possible for PDQ to send out a truck ASAP.

Solutions provided:

When PDQ arrived at John's house in Morris Plains the technicians first stabilized the basement by removing as much water as possible from the carpets and the unfinished portion of the basement. Afterwards fans and dehumidifiers were placed in order to reduce the humidity and begin the drying process.
