More About Ogdensburg

Ogdensburg, NJ is a small town located in Sussex County and was founded in 1914. The town was named after Robert Ogden, one of the first settlers in the area, and had Odgensburgite named after it, a mineral found in the Earth. The area was formerly known for being the home of the Edison Ore-Milling Company and operated to mine ores from the ground using a new electromagnetic technique. The Wallkill River and Sparta Glen Brook run in or close to Ogdensburg, making the area prone to flooding when heavy rain hits the area. PDQ Restoration specializes in floods and remediation from drying the area to cleaning out any affected items, and can also help serve house fires or mold infestations.

We arrived at the home in Ogdensburg, NJ within 90minutes of her call. We assessed the damages along with the Homeowner. We discussed the course of action to restore her home properly. The Homeowner was extremely grateful that we were able to relieve her concerns by explaining what steps were needed. Our IICRC-certified technicians started immediately by setting up high-velocity air movers, commercial dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls to begin the drying process. They extracted the standing water. They packed up her unaffected content and moved it to a dry area of her basement. With the Client's permission, they recorded and documented the disposal of non-salvageable items. They removed, bagged and disposed of affected materials.
